Finished! Holidays and all.

I finished the Lucky Spider Stole! Pictures will happen after I get back from the holiday hiatus.

I finished the JCrew Gloves I was knitting for my husband's Christmas gift! Those were a really quick knit! I'm thinking it took me about 5 or 6 hours per glove which means they were an easy weekend project. It took just over a skein to make both gloves in Misti Alpaca's Suri Silk DK.

I'm thinking if I buy another skein, I'll have enough to make me a pair to match! I may live in Florida, but they keep the office at sub-zero temperatures. My hands get cold and it is hard to crank out huge amounts of programming code with frozen knuckles.

On the other hand, I LOVE this yarn, and I have to make a scarf/glove set for him for valentines day. Perhaps I should just stop by Webs and order enough for him. I'll check with A Stitcher's Haven and see if I can just order a bag of Hematite to keep him cozy this winter.

The knitting continues... sort of

I bought more yarn for the Durrow Cardigan, but I feel a bit guilty for not finishing the Lucky Spider Shawl, so I think I'm going to try to finish it as quickly as I can. If I work on it diligently, I may be able to finish it before Christmas.

My original plan was to get as close to finishing the Cardigan before Yule and Christmas as I could, but I think I'll be happier knowing I finally got the Lucky Spider Stole finished and delivered. Besides, whats the fun of going on vacation without a project to enjoy?

Here are some new pictures of the Durrow Cardigan in progress. Thank you for the use of your camera Carole!
